Reggae aficionados will travel with delight upon this new trail blazed by Dub Nation’s long-awaited third album, Rising Force for Change. Producer/Bassist and Dub Nation mainstay Frank “Fantom” Caruso has pushed forth on a unique and innovative path mixing elements of soul, jazz, hip-hop and rock with traditional roots reggae rhythms.
Joining forces with Spinners/Temptations’ legendary lead singer GC Cameron with Guadeloupe-native Tatiana Miath, a world-class female vocal talent heralded in Europe and the Caribbean, produces a soulful repertoire of songs.
GC’s 1970s Motown hits It’s a Shame and It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday are re-created in a fresh and powerful style. Lovingly ornamented with Tatiana’s thrilling harmonies and a veritable orchestra of master musicians—including many San Francisco Bay area Dub Nation veterans, like original lead vocalist Paul “Fish” Dawson, who provides a colorful accent to the vocal trio.
