RISE OF A NATION

Dub Nation releases their fourth album Tuffer than Tuffist, as they return to stages featuring Motown legend GC Cameron, the former lead singer of the Spinners and the Temptations.

The San Francisco based group celebrates their 20th anniversary in 2016 with the addition of talented Bay Area vocalists Luqman Frank, Kimiko Joy and Omega Brooks. Their soulful voices lift up the reggae sound with influences of R&B and Motown. Led by producer and bassist, Frank “Fantom” Caruso who along with Cameron is also a former member of The Temptations.

Dub Nation released its debut album entitled One Great World in 1996. The reaction was immediate and impressive. The accolades and offers poured in and the new sensation was invited to all the major festivals including The Sierra Nevada World Music Festival and Reggae on the River.

In 1998, a seasoned and confident Dub Nation released its second CD Let the Truth Be Known. Even the toughest of critics had to admit that it exhibited both maturity and advanced production values. The success of the album, and its wide embrace by the group’s fans and the reggae community as a whole, vaulted them into one of the top spots among California’s best reggae groups.

I
n 1999, after years of hard work the group proudly accepted a California Music Award as Best Reggae Artist. As they were composing new material, Caruso began taking assignments with other groups. After an extended hiatus of touring with the Temptations for 8 years, Caruso and lead singer GC Cameron decided to start their own music production company Nationrizn Entertainment

On their 2012 release Rising Force for Change, GC's hit songs It's a Shame and It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday would be remade. Empowered by Cameron, the group ebarked on a new direction and journey.

On the 2016 release of Tuffer than Tuffist, the group explores more classic Motown songs. Both on I Wish it Would Rain and Papa was a Rollin' Stone, they capture the essence of the original recordings, while paying tribute to the live versions of The Temptations.
